About this policy

Lambert York Pty Ltd respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit our website, enquire about a residential building project or deal with us. We handle information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

What we collect

Enquiry forms collect your name, phone number, optional email, project type, property address or suburb, budget, project stage, preferred timing, message and consent to contact you. Please do not include sensitive information, identity documents or financial account details in a website enquiry.

We also collect the enquiry time, source form, browser user agent and referring page to operate the website and manage enquiries and abuse. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs. We generally collect information directly from you; an authorised architect, adviser or representative may also provide project information.

You may browse without identifying yourself and enquire by phone instead. We need enough contact and project information to respond meaningfully; without it we may not be able to assist.

How we use and disclose it

We use information to respond to your enquiry, assess project suitability, arrange consultations, prepare estimates or contracts, manage building work and aftercare, maintain records and meet legal obligations. All initial contact runs through Pat.

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to service providers supporting hosting, private enquiry storage and email delivery, and to advisers, architects, engineers, consultants, trades or insurers involved in your project. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. We do not sell your personal information or add enquiry details to marketing lists without separate consent.

Cookies, Google and Meta

Essential browser storage keeps your cookie preference and a local history of your choices, their dates and the notice shown. Optional Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are enabled only after you select Accept, and only when configured. Accept permits analytics and advertising measurement; selecting Decline prevents both tools from loading. We require this choice worldwide rather than assuming permission from your location.

If accepted, these tools may collect page visits, device and browser information and identifiers, and record successful enquiry submissions, phone-link and email-link taps, enquiry wizard choices and thank-you page visits for measurement of website activity and enquiries. These events do not include your enquiry name, phone, email, address or message. Google and Meta may associate activity with their own account or advertising data under their policies. We do not upload enquiry contact details for customer matching.

You can reopen Cookie preferences on this website without changing your current choice. Declining after acceptance immediately withdraws permission and refreshes the page to stop tools already loaded, including in other open tabs. The local choice history retains earlier acceptance and later withdrawal; you can also remove existing cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from making an enquiry.

Service providers and overseas processing

Our technology providers may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where Lovable, its infrastructure providers, our email provider, Google or Meta operate. Provider locations can change; contact us if you need current details before sharing information.

Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to protect information disclosed overseas and require appropriate safeguards. Provider processing remains subject to applicable law and the provider's terms and privacy policies.

Security and retention

We use access controls and private enquiry storage and take reasonable measures to protect information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Website visitors cannot read submitted enquiries. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship and meet recordkeeping, insurance or legal obligations. Project and contract records may need to be retained longer than an enquiry. When information is no longer needed and retention is not required by law, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can request access to or correction of your personal information, or ask about deletion, by emailing info@lambertyork.com.au. We may ask you to verify your identity before providing information. We will respond within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days. If an exception prevents access or correction, we will explain the reason where lawful and how to challenge it.

Please contact us first about a privacy concern, with enough detail for us to investigate. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au where the complaint falls within its jurisdiction.
